About our Bed & BreakfastNOTE - Woodland Haven will be closed from Jan 1, 2012 until June 15, 2012. An intriguing modern log home surrounded by unspoiled nature at it's most convenient. A welcoming ambiance attractively furnished surroundings and lovely gardens with private patio. A comfortable living area including sitting room with TV, DVD player, large bedroom and private bathroom with shower. The setting is conducive to one who wishes to be private, and welcomes a quiet atmosphere. A hearty, healthy breakfast is served at a convenient time. The patio is for those who wish to relax, listen to the song birds, take in the surrounding trees or browse through the gardens. A front porch is often used after breakfast for that second cup of coffee. Rosseau, a 10 min drive offers stores for browsing or a buying spree and 2 restaurants that serve lunch and dinner. The Farmers' Market is every Friday throughout July and August, and is a must visit. There is the Rosseau beach for swimming, or sit to enjoy the park or if you wish launch your boat or canoe to tour Lake Rosseau. Many cyclists frequent this part of Muskoka, enjoying a variety of terrains. Huntsville is a 20 minute drive with many features from theatre to wonderful shopping and walking trails along the river. It offers many good eating places as well. Algonquin Park is along Hyw 60, a favourite place to hike, tour the visitor's centre or visit the Art Gallery. Parry Sound situated on the Georgian Bay is a 40 minute drive and offers island cruises and airplane rides to view the special sights of the Bay. Winter time is a magical time of year in Muskoka. Snowshoe trails on our property, cross country skiing at Arrowhead near Huntsville and downhill skiing at Hidden Valley, Huntsville. There is something for everyone to enjoy in Muskoka. Come and experience Wood-land Haven and take in the special features in this unique area. |
