About our Bed & Breakfast

Welcome to Westwynde on Rosseau,offering quieter times and a slower pace, a touch of yesteryear in Muskoka. Westwynde on Rosseau is a private get-away on beautiful Brackenrig Bay, Lake Rosseau, surrounded by lush lawns and gardens.

We offer two large suites with private entrances.

The Coach House has a cozy living area with a fireplace, a queen size bed and two twin beds, eating area, four piece bath, microwave and bar fridge for your convenience. Enjoy the private deck with a majestic view of Lake Rosseau by day and the stars by night.

The Lakeside Suite is at ground level with patio doors leading to a granite walkway to the shoreline.  It has a Muskoka room with a fireplace and a sofa bed, a private bedroom with a queen size bed, four piece bath and a bar fridge.

Westwynde on Rosseau is two hours form Toronto, five minutes from Port Carling and l0 minutes from the fabulous new Windermere House. We are approximately twenty minutes from the JW Marriott at Red Leaves in Minnett.

A gourmet breakfast is served the the main house dining room, or on the sunny south deck overlooking the lake, weather permitting. Delights such as Eggs Benedict, omelettes and quiches, fluffy buttermilk pancakes with maple sausage and local maple syrup, freshly-made crepes with fruit or asparagus and brie cheese, or traditional french toast. Freshly baked muffins and scones are made daily. It is our pleasure to cater to special dietary restrictions so please let us know if you have any special requests.

We have docking available if you would like to bring your own boat, or if you wish to rent one we can help you with the arrangements. The choices are yours: hike in the woods, or bike on the scenic Brackenrig road, swim in the lake or just sit on the dock with a good book or just relax and watch the world go by perhaps with a fishing rod in hand. 

For those who want to keep in touch we have high-speed wireless Internet in both suites.

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time 11:00 a.m. Minimum stay is two nights on weekends during July and August. Please inquire about our  low season rates in the spring and fall.

This is a smoke - free home.

Directions: By car: From Highway 11...exit at #118 West through Bracebridge towards Port Carling 22 km to Brackenrig Road turn right 3 km north to 1321 Brackenrig on the lakeside.

From Highway 400N take the Mactier/Gravenhurst/Port Carling Exit #189. Turn right on Hwy#169,left at junction of #169 & #118W through Port Carling approx 5 km to Brackenrig Rd. turn left 3km north to 1321 Brackenrig Rd. .... By boat: Port Carling to Lake Rosseau. South to Brackenrig Bay through markers to square marker MU GRG. Black boathouse with the long dock.

By Snowmobile: Trail C102D to Brackenrig Bay. Black boathouse with the large flagpole.
