About our Bed & BreakfastOur casual waterfront home will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy a Muskoka sunrise on the dock or a glorious sunset on the covered veranda. Tuktawayin is very much like a typical Muskoka cottage with lots of pine inside where you can put your feet up and relax. Early risers may enjoy a morning swim in Gull Lake or simply the peace and quiet available on the dock at that time of day.We are a 5-minute walk from Rotary Gull Lake Park and Sunday night Music on the Barge, or a 10-minute walk from downtown shopping in Gravenhurst. We are tucked away in a quiet corner of town that provides both privacy and proximity, hence our name, Tuktawayin. World class golf courses are only 10 minutes away by car. Muskoka Wharf, Grace and Speed Museum, the Segwun and Wenonah II steamships as well as several restaurants along the boardwalk are all a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk away on beautiful Gravenhurst Bay on Lake Muskoka. Our Queen guest room features a lovely lakefront view, and our second guest room, the Garden Room, also on the main floor, offers twin beds which can be converted to a king bed. Guests have full use of our common areas in addition to their own private room. Full or continental breakfast may be served in our lakeside room, or on the veranda overlooking the garden in summer. Lakeside Room: Queen bed with easy access to outside. Shared 4-piece washroom. Ceiling fan. Garden Room: Two twin beds or king bed, ceiling fan, garden view. Shared 4-piece washroom. The guest rooms with shared bath are perfect for 4 people traveling together. Guests are invited to use the waterfront prior to 11am and after 3pm. Early morning sun is on the dock. Guests are welcome to use beach towels from Tuktawayin. Fall, Winter and Spring feature special weekends here at Tuktawayin. Approximately one weekend per month and during typical holiday periods we will be opening to offer special getaways geared to families (no young children please) and friends interested in experiencing the "off season" in Muskoka together.
