About our Bed & BreakfastSet on Black Creek, among woods and fields, Swallowdale is a serene natural sanctuary offering stillness for rest, nurture and renewal. The beauty of the expansive landscape, wildlife, gardens and star filled night sky invite a gentle realignment with the natural order. The gift of time to "stop and stare", to be, walk, read and reflect supports spiritual, personal and creative work. A sunlit suite in the farmhouse provides sitting, bed and bathrooms, a study, kitchen facilities, private entrance and a deck overlooking Black Creek. The countryside offers lakes, a quiet country lane, and century old wooded trails for hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. Within a ten minute drive are shops for provisions in the village of Port Carling. Our home grown organic vegetables are available in season. Weekly and monthly retreat rates are available on request. |
