About our Bed & Breakfast

House on the Hill B & B is a charming home in the village of Bala overlooking Bala Bay and Lake Muskoka. Our ideal location makes it a short walk to all amenities including quaint shops, excellent dining, entertainment and the several beaches.

House on the Hill is set on a well treed lot, surrounded by decks for lounging and relaxing and facing beautiful sunrises over the lake. For added convenience, Windsor Park, a favourite picnic and beach facility, is located just across the street.

We offer guests three comfortable and well appointed rooms for their stay.

  • The Burgundy Room with queen size bed, white and burgundy decor with Jacuzzi tub in the ensuite bathroom.
  • The Blue Room with queen size bed, nautical decor and a private bathroom with shower and tub.
  • The Captain's Room with two twin beds, nautical decor and a shared bathroom for family or friends of guests in one of our other rooms.

All of the bedrooms, as well as the living and dining rooms, have large windows with views of Lake Muskoka and Windsor Park. Guests may unwind in the family room with TV, VCR and DVD and enjoy the view of the rocks and trees that surround our property. 

Each morning a Continental breakfast is served with fresh fruit, muffins, toast, cereal, croissant, coffee, tea and juice available.

Smoking outside only, no pets please, adults preferred.
No owner pets in residence.

Daily Rates:
Burgundy Room: $125 Queen, ensuite bath, Jacuzzi.
Blue Room: $125 Queen, private bath.
Captain's Room: $115 Two twins, shared (family or friends of guests).
