About our Bed & BreakfastCentury House B & B is an air conditioned, smoke free Victorian farmhouse near the waterfall in downtown Bracebridge. It is close to shopping, beaches and many craft studios and galleries. Enjoy summer theatre, fall colours and studio tours, and winter cross-country skiing. It is a traditional B&B, emphasizing charm, comfort and conviviality. Century House was built in 1885 and, in keeping with its character, is liberally sprinkled with antiques. There are three charming, well appointed guest rooms which share 1½ baths. They are tastefully decorated and have back-friendly, firm beds and fine quality linens. Each is protected by "guard bears". There is a TV in the living room if anyone insists, although most of our guests prefer socializing with their hosts over complimentary refreshments. The art of conversation is alive here. We serve a creative and generous breakfast, with many house specialties. Blueberry corn waffles with local maple syrup are a favorite with many guests. Sandy's baking and preserves complement every meal. |
